About the Artist

Andrea Walker is a nationally recognized fine artist and art educator who creates realistic paintings and drawings, and she specializes in portraits and still lifes. Her work focuses on a beautiful arrangement of shapes and light, portraying the beauty in the world through people and objects. Andrea earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and she now lives and works in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. 

Andrea's artistic approach to contemporary realism incorporates attention to detail, strong design, traditional techniques, and a realistic rendering of light and texture through many layers. She is known for both her black & white and color artwork. Andrea enjoys working with many mediums including watercolor, charcoal, soft pastel, graphite, and oil painting. 

 

Her artwork is featured in curated publications, international juried exhibitions, and private collections throughout the US. She teaches workshops throughout the country, and teaches private drawing, painting, and portfolio development classes in the Cincinnati area. Andrea is a member of Women in Watercolor and The Greater Cincinnati Watercolor Society and is also proud to be a Brand Ambassador for Holbein,  Legion Paper, and General Pencil, as well as their Brand Ambassador Coordinator for the US and Canada.
